Baa Classic 2020 Day 1 Review

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

The sun was shining on the first post-COVID trial!

Blue skies and fluffy clouds started the day for the Baa Classic Trial.

The trial didn't start until 1 pm but from the organisation side of things we were sorted and ready to go by 10 am!

Signing on went well with riders collecting their rider numbers and t-shirt with social distancing in place. It was great to see familiar faces and to see bikes around the start field too.

At 1 pm, a group of riders were taken to section 1 and another group were taken to section 6. This continued at 10 minute intervals until all the riders had started the trial.

The sections were all in Burnhope Burn where the riders had to tackle many slippy rocks. Section 6 and section 10 were taking marks but many riders were also having clean rides though sections.

The Baa Inn was serving great food all day and bacon sandwiches are on the menu for the morning!

The weather remained great for the trial and enjoyment was had by everyone!

See the photos in the Trials Gallery.

Roll on day 2!
